Portrait of Ginger, After Sargent will be on display at the Cathryn O’Donnell Gallery in Wilmington, NC
The gallery is hosting a curated exhibit – After the Masters. All works have been inspired by past and present-day masters.
The original painting that inspired my piece is, “The Countess of Rocksavage” and was painted by John Singer Sargent in 1913. I used the pose and the garment in the original but painted my beautiful daughter Ginger (of course) in replace of the Countess.
Opening reception will be held on September 25, 2026 from 6-9pm and the show will run through November.
Cathryn O’Donnell Gallery is located at 244 Princess St. Suites 206 & 207 in Wilmington NC.
